The University of Adelaide has announced the Adelaide Refugee & Humanitarian Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship for the 2025 academic year. This scholarship program has been specifically designed to address the financial challenges faced by students from refugee backgrounds, providing them with the opportunity to pursue higher education at one of Australia's prestigious universities.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship offers comprehensive financial support to successful applicants, including:

  • 100% Tuition Fee Waiver

  • Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF) Scholarship

  • A one-off payment of $2,500

Duration and Program Coverage

The scholarship supports students for up to 4 years, accommodating part-time study options. It covers all Postgraduate Coursework programs with up to 2 years duration, with the exception of Viticulture, Oenology, and Veterinary Medicine programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Gain admission to a postgraduate coursework program commencing in Semester 1, 2025 (hold a Letter of Offer and meet any academic and English language proficiency conditions)

  • Be holders of a Bridging Visa E (BVE), Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785), or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV)

  • Provide evidence of financial capacity to support themselves through their studies

If ranking is required, applicants will be assessed based on academic achievement, with preference given to South Australian residents.

Important Application Information

The scholarship must be accepted in the year it is offered and cannot be deferred. If a recipient declines the offer, the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible candidate.

Applicants may only apply after receiving a Letter of Offer from the University of Adelaide and meeting all academic and English language proficiency conditions. Those who have not fulfilled all conditions by the scholarship application closing date will not be considered.
