Politecnico di Milano awards merit-based scholarships every year to the most talented international students admitted to its English-taught Master of Science programmes.
The 2026-27 round has closed and the 2027-28 dates have not been published yet. In the last round, only applicants who applied in the early-bird window, October 1 to December 1, could compete.
What the scholarship covers
A full tuition fee waiver; winners pay only an administrative fee of about €170
For some awards, an extra gross allowance of up to €10,000 a year
Who can apply
The scholarships are for international candidates admitted to the first semester (September intake) of a Master of Science programme taught in English.
Candidates fill in an extra scholarship form at no cost and must upload a valid English language certificate by the stated date, which was February 21 in the last round.
Selection looks at your previous education and how well it matches the programme, your documents and the scholarship form. Your grade point average and academic achievements, including a portfolio where one is asked for, count the most.

Students on Bachelor's and Master's programmes can also apply for DSU (right to study) scholarships, which are awarded every year on merit and financial need.
The university also runs scholarships for international students on two Bachelor's programmes, Process Engineering in Cremona and Industrial Engineering in Piacenza. The 2026-27 call for these has closed.
Applicants from 17 countries, including Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana and Tunisia, can also look at the Italian government's Invest your Talent in Italy scholarships for the September intake.
How to prepare
Choose your programme, check its admission requirements and get your transcripts and English certificate ready before October. Then apply in the early-bird window once Politecnico di Milano publishes the 2027-28 dates on its deadlines page.
