Adelaide Refugee & Humanitarian Undergraduate Scholarship 2026
The University of Adelaide has announced the Adelaide Refugee & Humanitarian Undergraduate Scholarship for the 2026 academic year, starting in September 2025. This scholarship has been established to address the financial challenges faced by students from refugee backgrounds and support their educational aspirations at the University of Adelaide.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship offers comprehensive financial support including:
100% Tuition Fee Waiver
Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF) Scholarship
$2,500 one-off payment
Duration and Program Eligibility
The scholarship supports students for up to 10 years, accommodating part-time study options. It covers all single undergraduate programs with a 3-4 year duration, with some exceptions.
Excluded Programs: Medical Studies, Dentistry, Oral Health, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Veterinary Bioscience, and all Double, Combined and Concurrent Degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
Gain admission to an undergraduate Bachelor's level program commencing in Semester 1, 2025
Hold a Bridging Visa E (BVE), Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785), or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV)
Provide evidence of financial capacity to support themselves through study
Not have previously undertaken any University study in Australia
Preference will be given to South Australian residents if ranking by academic achievement is required.

Important Application Information
Applicants should note the following:
The scholarship must be taken up in the year offered and cannot be deferred
Applications are only accepted after receiving a Letter of Offer from the University of Adelaide
All academic and English language proficiency conditions in the Letter of Offer must be met before the scholarship application closing date
Those needing to take an IELTS or other accepted English language test should book at the earliest opportunity
