The University of Adelaide is offering an exciting PhD scholarship opportunity through the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project. This three-year scholarship focuses on pioneering research in renewable energy, specifically on wave energy converters, and provides a substantial annual stipend of $35,300 (indexed annually).
Scholarship Overview
The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research aimed at understanding the hydrodynamic loads generated by large-scale wave energy devices. This project involves both experimental design and numerical modeling to develop nonlinear hydrodynamic models for wave energy converters experiencing large motions.
This collaborative research initiative will be jointly supervised by Dr. Nataliia Sergiienko from the University of Adelaide and colleagues Dr. Adi Kurniawan and Dr. Jana Orszaghova from the University of Western Australia. The scholarship recipient will have the opportunity to work with leading experts in the field while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
